From curious teenager to local tech helper
I got my start in IT as a volunteer back in 2013, and that early spark turned into a real passion all through high school. Since then I've worked across both government and private IT roles, always looking for ways to make technology make sense for everyday people. That's exactly why I started The Valley's Tech Guy.
My Journey
A few of the steps that got me here.
2013: Getting Started
Began volunteering in IT while still at school, which is where my interest in technology first took off.
Gippsland Health Alliance
Landed my first IT job through a traineeship, supporting staff and helping solve everyday tech problems.
Federation University
Studied a Bachelor of Information Technology locally, so I could stay close to family and friends while I learned.
Latrobe City Council
Interned with the Business Intelligence team, then moved into a Project Administration Officer role.
GDATA (Today)
Now working as a Junior Data Engineer at GDATA, a local startup helping councils build modern, reliable data systems.
